About

The mission at the Lovie Awards is to elevate and recognise the people, projects, and ideas shaping Europe’s contributions to the Internet. Lovie Award-winning work reflects Europe at its best: dozens of languages, creative traditions, and regulatory frameworks working in exchange to produce digital work that leads with ethicality.

The Lovie Awards is the Webby Awards’ benchmark for European digital excellence, recognising the people, projects, and ideas shaping Europe’s contributions to the internet.

Launched in 2010, The Lovie Award is presented by the European arm of the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences (IADAS)—a 3,000+ membership body which also judges The Webby Awards. The Academy is comprised of —leading Internet experts, business figures, luminaries, visionaries, artists, and talented entertainers and creators. Work is judged in seven native languages including; Spanish, Italian, Dutch, French, German, Swedish and English.

The Lovie Awards presents Gold, Silver and Bronze winners. The online public also votes for their favourite Finalists to take home The People’s Lovie Award in each category. Last year’s People’s Lovie received over 100,000 votes from across Europe.

Work is accepted across; Websites & Mobile Sites; Video & Film; Advertising, Media & PR; Podcasts; Apps, Immersive & Games; Social & Creators; and AI & Innovation. Learn more about Lovie Awards categories here.
