  • Contact info
  • URL – The URL can be changed only if it is the same work that has won/shortlisted or if it has not yet been reviewed.

Do you have to be based in Europe to participate?

No. The work entered must have been created for the European audience, regardless of the entrant’s location.

Does the entry need to be in English?

No. Entries are accepted in English, Dutch, French, Spanish, Italian, Swedish, and German. While other European language websites are not explicitly forbidden, sites must be accessible to our English, Dutch, French, Spanish, Italian, Swedish, and German speaking judges.

In categories that may not depend on language, other European language sites are eligible if they are highly visual or otherwise not dependent on language. All Internet Video entries in a language other than English, Dutch, French, Spanish, Italian, Swedish, or German MUST be dubbed or subtitled.

Categories

Which category should I enter?

The Lovie Awards has eight entry types to choose from: AI, XR & Web3, Apps, Platforms & Software, Film & Video, Podcasts, Marketing, Advertising & PR, Social, Websites & Mobile Sites and Beyond Categories. We design categories to allow participants to choose an entry category that best fits their media. It is up to the entrant to choose which is most appropriate for that particular entry. An entry can be entered in multiple categories as appropriate. If work is entered in multiple categories, it is eligible to win multiple times. The Academy reserves the right to move entries to other categories if it is clearly appropriate to do so.

Can I enter more than one category?

Yes, absolutely! Many entrants submit work in multiple categories where applicable.

Judging

How do you pick the judges for The Lovie Awards?

The Lovie Awards are overseen by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences (IADAS), the same presenting organisation as The Webby Awards. Visit The Academy website to learn more.

Can you explain how my work is judged?

Please see judging process and judging criteria.

Is it possible to receive the judges’ ratings and comments for my site?

Due to the volume of entries, The Lovie Awards cannot offer individual comments and ratings of the work submitted.

How do you judge the mobile entries?

The Academy will judge all Lovie Mobile entries on hand-held devices, ensuring that the work is evaluated in its intended medium and native environment.
