THE LOVIE AWARDS ANNOUNCES 9TH ANNUAL CALL FOR ENTRIES
Honouring the Best of the European Internet
New and expanded award categories to honour excellence in Voice, Social Content Series & Campaigns, Video, Advertising and more
London, 19 March 2019 — The International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences (IADAS)—the presenting body of the international Webby Awards and its’ sister award The Lovie Awards—announced today the official opening of The 9th Annual Lovie Awards Call for Entries. The Lovie Awards is the only pan-European awards organisation to honour the full breadth of the European Internet including Websites, Online Advertising, Internet Video, Apps, Mobile, Podcasts & Voice and Social. Entries are open now at lovieawards.com. Finalists are announced in September 2019 and Winners in October 2019 followed by a celebration in November 2019 in London.
Entrants compete not only to win a Lovie Award and The People’s Lovie Award (fan favourite), but to deliver their 7 Words of Lovie Acceptance Speech and follow in the footsteps of last year’s winners including Lifetime Achievement honouree Dr. Sue Black OBE, Emerging Entrepreneur Hans Jorgen Wiberg, Lovie Creator for Change Alex Bertie, Lovie Outstanding Comedic Performer Michael Dapaah (Big Shaq) and Agency of the Year Jung von Matt—among others.

All work is judged by 500+ Academy members who represent Europe’s best and brightest in digital including musician Imogen Heap, actor and writer Stephen Fry, “Father of Wi-Fi” Vic Hayes, Yann LeCun (Chief AI Scientist, Facebook), Anna Rafferty (Vice President of Digital Consumer Engagement, LEGO), Iain Tait (Executive Creative Director, Wieden + Kennedy London), Miriam Plon Sauer (Strategy Director, AKQA), Corinne Vigreux (Co-Founder, TomTom) and Lauren Laverne (Broadcaster), among others.
