“We are thrilled to announce the finalists of the 12th Annual Lovie Awards. This year, we have received a huge breadth of high-calibre, future-shaping work from across the continent,” said Nicolas Roope, IADAS Jury Chairman of The Lovie Awards.  “We’re honoured to recognise finalists in our newly launched ‘Web3, NFT and Metaverse’ category, created to celebrate the individuals and teams shaping a bold, new vision for the future of the internet.”

Lovie Award Finalists are selected by the International Academy of Digital Arts & Sciences (IADAS). Members include musician Imogen Heap, actor and writer Stephen Fry, “Father of Wi-Fi” Vic Hayes, Vice President LEGO Anna Rafferty, Actor & Producer Ashley Walters, Founder & Managing Partner Demodern Alexander El-Meligi, Creator, Have You Heard George’s Podcast? This year, The Lovie Awards introduced a brand new category for Web3, NFT & Metaverse honours, and the finalists have set the benchmark for boundary-pushing, perspective-changing work, such as H&M – A unique Web3 experience for H&M beyond by DEPT®, Montreux Jazz Festival NFT Artwork Collection by Montreux Media Ventures, Bayerischer Rundfunk’s Munich72 and The Unstoppable Women of Web 3 by L+R and Plantiverse – Building an Interspecies Metaverse by Futurity Systems, Meta Festival by DEPT®, Yuga Labs by Antinomy Studio and Xiaomi – Metaverse Showroom Experience by Demodern GmbH.

Key cultural and societal issues are prominently reflected across this year’s finalists, particularly in dedicated honours for Diversity & Inclusion. Thick Skin – The Story of 6 Pakistani Siblings with Albinism, created by TRT World, explores marginalization and social exclusion faced by individuals with this condition. Made for Everybody and Every Body (DEPT®), is a social content series and campaign made for Philips, shining a light on the male body positivity movement.

For the sixth consecutive year, The Lovie Agency of the Year Award will be bestowed upon the European agency that performs best across all award categories.
