GIANFRANCO CHICCO NAMED EUROPEAN MARKETING DIRECTOR AT THE LOVIE AWARDS

London, UK (21 June 2016) – The Lovie Awards, the most prestigious honour in Europe for excellence in Websites, Online Advertising, Internet Video, Mobile & Apps and Social, today announced that Gianfranco Chicco has been named as the new European Marketing Director, bringing his proven record of achievement in marketing and technology across various platforms. His deep knowledge of the technology, advertising and creative industry and power of understanding companies is essential to creating new strategies at the Lovie Awards, in order to execute new ideas that bring optimal growth to the company across the region.

Most recently, Gianfranco worked at Social Media Week as Executive Director for London, relaunching and refreshing the event’s experience and raising its profile, and in Milan as Conference Director and Programme Curator.

Previously, Chicco launched Taiken Lab, an experience design agency that creates experiences bringing people together, bridging the gap between the digital and the physical worlds.

Prior to Taiken Lab, Chicco was responsible for launching the World Business Forum in Milan and subsequently served as its first Marketing Director, was the Marketing Manager of the innovative PICNIC Festival in Amsterdam, the Conference Director of Frontiers of Interaction and managed projects in Germany, Italy, Spain, Turkey, Buenos Aires and Japan. His events have featured speakers like Bill Clinton, Jack Welch, Malcolm Gladwell and some of the best agencies and startups from around the world.

An Industrial Engineer graduate of the Instituto Tecnológico de Buenos Aires with a Masters in Business Administration from MIP-Politecnico Di Milano, Gian currently resides in London.
