FINALISTS IN THE 14TH ANNUAL LOVIE AWARDS OFFICIALLY ANNOUNCED
LONDON, 1 October 2024 – Today, the International Academy of Digital Arts & Sciences (IADAS)—the presenting body of the Lovie Awards, Europe’s most significant award for Internet excellence and the international Webby Awards—have announced Finalists for the 14th Annual Lovie Awards. This year’s Finalists include organizations such as Absolut Group, Bontouch, Christie’s, Dazed, Ledger, Loewe Foundation, Something Something, Southbank Centre, Studio Artefact 3000, Vaayu Tech, Feeld as well as some of Europe’s most talked-about personalities including Jamie Oliver, Joko and Klaas, Kwesta, JMiquela, Munya Chawawa, Sky Brown and Tom Daley.
Presented by The Webby Awards, The Lovie Awards recognises European Internet excellence in the fields of culture, technology, and business. All Finalists announced today are eligible to win the European Internet industry’s most prestigious awards: Gold, Silver, and Bronze Lovie Awards selected by the Academy, and the People’s Lovie Award, voted on by the online community at http://vote.lovieawards.com through Thursday, 17 October at 11:59 pm GMT.

The 2024 Lovie Awards Finalists underscore Europe’s creativity, innovation, and commitment to addressing vital cultural, social, and technological issues. Purpose continues to be a core focus area for campaigns by European advertising agencies, as seen in works like ‘The Hidden Story’ and in Wieden + Kennedy London’s PSA campaign ‘Don’t Drink and Drive.’ Environmentalism and sustainability continue as themes in the cultural zeitgeist, as seen in several Finalists like SERVICEPLAN Germany’s ‘WWF Save What You See’ project that visualises the impact of donations to ‘C4 Change Climate’ by 4Creative, and the ‘Forces For Change’ second-hand luxury collaboration between British Vogue and eBay.
More than ever, cross-sector collaborations and societal themes were prominently reflected across this year’s finalists. Fashion and retail are leading the charge in this space. Standouts include Christie’s special auction for ‘Vivienne Westwood: The Personal Collection,’ in the unique guide to London’s style, art, and culture ‘Monocle x Gucci,’ Vaayu and ON’s sustainable collaboration ‘Reducing Shoe Manufacturing Emissions by 75%,’ and ‘Loewe Foundation Craft Prize’ by Giga Design Studio Srl.
European companies are embracing AI with intentionality, as evidenced by Finalists like Smartify’s ‘Making Museums More Accessible With AI,’ Swipe Back’s personalised sommelier experience ‘Moët Hennessy – Divine, AI Sommelier,’ Norday’s urban planning project ‘AI creates cycle-friendly streets,’ and denkwerk GmbH’s ‘A11y-AI.’
The Lovie Awards received nearly 1,200 entries from 35 countries. The organisations earning the highest number of Finalists this year include DEPT® (31), BBC (13), SERVICEPLAN / PLAN.NET GERMANY (12), Build in Amsterdam (9), Al Jazeera (7), Monks (7), and Havas Media Network (7).
For the first time, The Lovie Awards will award a Special Achievement Award for ‘Collaboration of the Year’ to the collaborative project or partnership that performs best across all award categories. Leading the group of contenders is BMW x lil Miquela (2), BNP Paribas (2), DEGIRO x Thematic (3), Ikea x Dazed (2), Just Eat Takeaway x Christina Aguilera x Latto (2), Kreatives GmbH x Paralympic Committee (2), Moët Hennessy x Divine (4), and Undo The Firewall by DEPT® x The True Story (2).
