Highlights of Lovie Metaverse Finalists

The Internet is an ever evolving platform. As it expands in new and exciting ways The Lovie Awards gives the opportunity to define the standard of excellence for innovation. To best recognise the breadth of work being made across the European Internet, this year’s Lovies introduced new honours for exciting emerging technology including Web3, NFTs, the Metaverse and more.

The inaugural Lovie Award winners in these new categories are setting the benchmark for excellence in this space, and so with the announcement of 12th Annual Lovie Awards Finalists, we wanted to highlight just a few of the many incredible Finalists in our new categories.

H&M – A unique Web3 experience for H&Mbeyond

Created by DEPT®, past Lovie Agency of the Year, for H&M, this entry is a finalist in the Business, Fashion & Retail category in Metaverse Individual (Web3, NFTs & Metaverse).

“How can we experience clothing when we can’t touch it or wear it? What added value does a digital experience offer visitors and customers? Together with our partner Journee – The Metaverse Company™, we explored solutions to these questions to develop a virtual, custom-fit world for H&M. In the H&M Virtual Showroom, content on H&M’s innovation topics and sustainability efforts are presented, alongside ‘information zones’, designed especially for the press or users interested in a conversation.”

Unstoppable Women of Web3 Decentraland Headquarters

International consultancy and design & technology studio L+R conceptualised and built the Unstoppable Women of Web3 virtual headquarters in the metaverse, in this project that is a Lovie Finalist for Best Community in Web3 / NFTs / Metaverse Features.

Sandy Carter, Founder of Unstoppable WoW3, said of the project: “Unstoppable Women of Web3 is a movement around web3 for All. This design for our Metaverse HQ, created and built jointly with L+R, demonstrates the power of diversity through design, collaboration, and the power of tech that will change the world.”

Yuga Labs

Antinomy Studio is in the running to become a Lovie Winner with the work they have done with NFT juggernaut Yuga Labs. Now venturing into the Metaverse, Yuga Labs’ new website is a Finalist in the Best Brand Integration / Brand Strategy category in Web3 / NFTs / Metaverse Features.

Polar at the Solar Sounds Festival

Digital pop superstar Polar recently headlined the 2022 Solar Sounds Festival in Lockwood Publishing’s mobile simulation video game Avakin Life. During her performance, players made more than 2.2 million visits to Polar’s metaverse performance at the festival!

For this experience, award-winning digital studio TheSoul Publishing is up for a Lovie in the Entertainment, Gaming & Sport category in Metaverse Individual.

The Green Planet AR Experience, powered by EE 5G

Inspired by the new BBC Earth series, Factory 42‘s Green Planet AR Experience helped the public explore the planet as they never have before in this ground-breaking free experience, all powered by EE’s 5G network.

Attendees joined David Attenborough on an immersive journey into the kingdom of plants using AR, in an experience that is a Lovie Finalist in the Best Immersive Experience category (Web3 / NFTs / Metaverse Features).
